Holiday Receipes



           Cheese Dog Cookies

               2 cups all purpose flour
                 1 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
                  1/4 tsp.garlic powder;  1/2 c. vegetable oil;  4 - 5 Tbsp. water

                      Combine everything except water. Whisk in food processor until consistancy of cornmeal.
Then  add water until mixture forms a ball. Roll it into 1/2" thickness and cut into shapes.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets about 10 min  at 400. Cool and store in refrigerator.

 

 

Bacon Bites

3 cups whole wheat flour
            1/2 cup milk ; 1 egg ; 1/4 cup bacon fat (or vegetable oil)
               1 tsp. garlic powder;  3 - 4 slices bacon, crumbled;  1/2 cup cold water

Mix ingredients together thoroughly.
Roll out on a floured surface to 1/2 - 1/4" thickness.
Bake for  35-40 minutes in a 325 degree oven.

Frozen Doggie Yums
     1 cup water ; 1 cube chicken or beef boillion (dog's favorite) 4 small pieces of chicken or beef

              Disolve boillion in water and tear meat into smaller pieces about 1/2 inch squares.
Freeze for about 12 hours or until solid.Use a small ice cube tray.
Great for hot days !   My dog loves these!!!
 
 

 
 

Shush Puppies

2 cups cornmeal;  1 cup wheat flour ; 1-2/3 cup cheddar cheese
                          3 tsp garlic power ; 4 Tbsp oil ; 1/2 cup powdered milk ; 1-1/8 cup water

                  Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl.
                  Add oil and gradually add water, stirring to mix well.  Dough should form a sticky ball.
            Using a tablespoon, scoop and form a small oval shapebiscuit.
         Place on a greased  cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes.

All of these receipes are very easy and fast to make !

Frosted Pecan Bites

   These frosted pecans are a festive snack
for any holiday occasion.

 Ingredients:
 1 pound pecans
   1/2 cup butter or margarine
   1 cup white sugar
       2 egg whites beaten to stiff peaks
pinch salt
 Directions:
          Preheat oven to 275 degrees F
           Toast pecans for 10 to 15 minutes
         Set aside to cool.
             Fold sugar, salt and pecans into egg whites.
             Increase oven temperature to 325 degrees F
             Melt butter or margarine on a sheet pan.
             Spread the nut mixture over pan and
               bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
          Remove from oven and allow to cool.
      Makes 6 cups






 

White Sangria 

2 c unsweetened apple  juice
1 med. apple cut into wedges
1 (12oz) can frozen lemonade thawed
1 bottle of  Chablis, chilled
1 med orange thinly sliced
    1 (10oz) bottle club soda chilled
1 med. lemon thinly sliced
1 med. lime thinly sliced
 Combine apple juice and lemonade well.
      Add slices of  lemon, lime& orange.
Best if  made up one day ahead.
Just before serving pour
this mixture into a large bowl.
Add apple wedges.
Stir in chilled  wine and club soda.
Enjoy !
